DAY 1: PICK UP NAIROBI / TRANSFER TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Pick up early in the morning from your Nairobi hotel or Airport and depart south to Amboseli National park. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Have lunch, refresh, and relax as you await your afternoon game drive. Afternoon game viewing drive in search of Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Cheetah, Warthog, Ostrich, etc. Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the skyline and surrounding countryside. It is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
DAY 2: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast starts your full day game drive with packed lunch. The ecosystem is mainly Savannah grassland, with a swamp hosting many elephants, buffaloes, hippos and a variety of waterfowls. An observation hill gives you a superb overall view of the Park, especially the swamp below, and the elephants. The Park offers magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro and is the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants. As its vegetation is sparse, especially during the long, dry months, it offers some of the best opportunities to see wildlife, which include the African elephant, Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, and a host of birdlife.
DAY 3: LEAVE AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK / TRANSFER LAKE MANYARA VIA NAMANGA BORDER
Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive in search of the predators and grazers. Extra exit game viewing drive as you leave Amboseli. Proceed on the cross-border drive into Tanzania. There shall be a stop for immigration formalities at the Namanga (Kenya / Tanzania) border town. The scenic drive is via Maasai country, distinct climatic zones, and social regions. Lunch shall be at the Arusha town of Tanzania. After lunch, Proceed to Lake Manyara for game viewing in search of the famous tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos.
DAY 4: LEAVE LEAVE LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK / TRANSFER SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Early wonderful sunrise views as you enjoy breakfast at your Lake Manyara accommodation. Later depart for Serengeti via the Olduvai Gorge. Here, we visit various sites of the Gorge to see where the remains of prehistoric man were discovered. This is as we proceed to the vastness of the Serengeti plains with an afternoon of game viewing drives.
DAY 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
This whole day, have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying parked lunch with you. You will marvel at what Serengeti has to offer regarding wild game hence famously known as the World’s largest wildlife sanctuary. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Serengeti national park has beautiful views of the endless plains with over 500 recorded bird species. The park is home to the big seven including; lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, rhino and African hunting dog. The Serengeti stretches 14,763 (5,700 sq miles) stretching North to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the West. Serengeti has the highest concentration of large mammals on this planet and it's famously known for its 2,500 Lions the largest concentration found anywhere. The park also has over 518 identified bird species where some of them are Eurasian migrants who are present in the European winter months from October to April.
DAY 6: LEAVE SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK / TRANSFER NGONGORO CRATER
Enjoy your final morning breakfast at Serengeti National Park. Refresh and check-out of the lodge to depart to Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive at Ngorongoro Crater in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch, embark for an afternoon game drive on these landscapes that range from dense mountain forests and woodlands to grasslands, lakes, and swamps. Huge herds of ungulates dominate the crater floor with zebras, wildebeests, elands, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelles being the species most commonly seen. But the crater is also home to the “big five” and elephants, lions and buffaloes are often spotted. The almost extinct black rhino can also be found in the crate and sightings aren’t rare either. Serval cats, spotted hyenas and jackals are also often seen while cheetahs are more difficult to spot. Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: LEAVE NGONGORO CRATER / TRANSFER AND DROP OFF ARUSHA
After breakfast –depart for Arusha. Proceed to Nairobi via the Namanga border town. Arrive Nairobi in the early evening. Drop off at Arusha Hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport.
