Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

This being the among best Masai Mara safari packages you choose, it kickstarts begins with our Twinkle Star Tours and Safaris representative picking you from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a comfortable transfer to Wilson Airport (domestic terminal). After checking in (please arrive 45-60 minutes before departure), you’ll board your 9:15 AM flight to Masai Mara, with an approximate flying time of one hour.

Upon landing at the Masai Mara airstrip, a professional driver-guide will welcome you and transfer you to Keekorok Lodge in a specialized 4×4 safari vehicle such as a Land Cruiser which is customized for a safari to give you a better view of the area. This acclaimed property, situated in a prime wildlife area, offers beautiful views across the reserve. After enjoying lunch and some leisure time at the lodge, you’ll embark on your first safari game drive at approximately 3:30 PM, exploring the surrounding landscapes and encountering the reserve’s remarkable wildlife. Return to the lodge by early evening (around 6:00-6:30 PM) for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara

Experience the optimal wildlife viewing schedule with two game drives today. Your early morning safari begins at 6:15 AM when animals are most active, providing excellent opportunities to witness predators completing their night-time hunts. After returning to the lodge at approximately 9:00 AM for a leisurely breakfast, you’ll have time to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities.

In the afternoon (around 3:30 PM), depart for your second game drive of the day, exploring different sections of this vast reserve until approximately 6:30 PM. The changing light conditions of late afternoon create perfect photography opportunities as animals become more active again. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 3: Continued Exploration of Masai Mara

Begin your day with another early morning game drive before breakfast, maximizing your wildlife viewing opportunities during this prime time for animal activity. After returning to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast, you may choose to schedule an optional visit to a nearby Maasai village (at additional cost). This fascinating cultural experience provides insight into the traditions and daily life of the Maasai people, including a tour of their distinctive manyatta mud dwellings.

Following lunch at the lodge, enjoy your afternoon safari into different areas of the reserve, returning by early evening (around 6:00-6:30 PM) for dinner and your final overnight stay at Keekorok Lodge.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Nairobi

After a leisurely breakfast and check-out, you’ll be transferred to the airstrip for your 10:30 AM flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, our representative will meet you for transfer to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey. Should you wish to explore Nairobi’s attractions before your departure, we can incorporate these into your schedule at additional cost, simply notify us in advance.

  Excellent introduction to Kenyan safaris Enjoyed an exceptional customized tour of Amboseli NP with Twinkle Star tours. The owner, James, is a master of customer service. He responded promptly to my questions, checked in on me during my trip, and even personally delivered some Kenyan coffee to me at my hotel since I didn't have time to get it myself. Amboseli NP was excellent! I had some incredible wildlife sightings including elephant/lion interactions, my first cheetah, and incredible bird life. I also spent a couple of hours visiting a village of the amboseli masai, which was really interesting. My driver Daniel spoke english very well and was able to position the vehicle in just the right way to help me get some great shots of the wildlife. Great tour overall.   nice experience March is the good season for the visit, 3 days would have been more pleasant. the lodge was good (wood fire, super clean room, opposite a water point with elephants, hypopos, buffaloes etc. evening and morning => guaranteed amazement).   Amazing week long luxury safari We had the most amazing custom experience with James and Twinkle Stars. We were taken care of from start to finish by experienced and friendly guides. We opted to combine Kenya and Tanzania but in hindsight would pick one or the other so as not to have to do so much travel.   Very pleased Toured with Twinkle Star during October 2023. 6 days, three hotels, one driver/guide. Each hotel was very different as were the sites. Accommodation ranged from very good to the nicest hotel ever. George knows the parks and the animals. He knows where they are and where they are going.
