DAY 1: PICK UP NAIROBI / TRANSFER SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, your safari adventure will begin as you depart by road driving across the equator to the Northern Hemisphere, and onward to the semi-arid region of the Samburu Game Reserve. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, followed by some leisure hours for a siesta or swim before you depart for an afternoon game viewing drive, and return back to the camp/lodge before sunset.
DAY 2: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
This full day in the Samburu Game Reserve will be spent searching for the big five, the Samburu five, and observing the vast unspoiled scenery during full day game viewing with picnic lunch. The Park is plentiful with crocodiles that bask on muddy riverbanks and velvet monkeys that frolic in the late afternoon sun. Samburu is renowned for its rare species of fauna known as the ‘Samburu five. These five particular animals are usually only found north of the equator – the long-necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe which is characterized by its liver-colored geometric patches defined by narrow white lines, the Grevy’s zebra which is smaller than the common zebra and looks more like a horse, the beisa oryx with a black horizontal stripe running across its lower flank and the Somali ostrich males which have blue-grey necks and thighs. The name Samburu is of Maasai origin, a ‘samburr’ is a traditional leather bag the Masai use for carrying honey and milk.
DAY 3: LEAVE SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE / OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
Have your breakfast followed by a depart to Ol pejeta. You will arrive for lunch and relaxation and later proceed with the afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 364sq km wildlife conservancy situated between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares and its game-to-area ratio tops the Kenyan park and reserve league. Ol Pejeta has over 10000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest-growing population of rhino in Africa can be found. There are southern white rhino, about 80 endangered black rhino and in a special sanctuary, there are the world’s last remaining northern white rhino.
DAY 4: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
Another full Day Ol pejeta Conservancy. We will have two extensive game drives exploring the exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary. Enjoy the good view of the wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, and myriad plains game among others. Sweetwaters boasts of excellent game viewing experience with the highest ratio of game to the area among any other parks or reserves in Kenya. This day, you will leave with packed lunch for a full day game drive in the morning and afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge/camp.
DAY 5: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY / LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast leave Ol Pejeta with game en route to Lake Naivasha. You will arrive in time for check-in for lunch at the lodge. Optional activities like boat ride at an extra cost. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with birdlife, and Naivasha is known as a world-class birding. The waters of the lake draw a great range of games to these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the Lakes large hippo population sleeps the day out in the shallows. The region surrounding the Lake is well worth exploring.
DAY 6:LAKE NAIVASHA / TRANSFER MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, proceed to the Maasai Mara game reserve via Narok town then enter the Maasai Mara road and drive across the plains to the camp. Check-in at the camp/lodge for lunch. The meals are buffet, enjoyed either in the dining or under the shade of indigenous trees. The culinary affair is indeed one to delight the senses, have a few minutes relaxing and enjoying the surrounding before you depart for an afternoon game drives. The big five is an experience you cannot afford to miss among other animals.
DAY 7: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
After breakfast, proceed to the Maasai Mara game reserve via Narok town then enter the Maasai Mara road and drive across the plains to the camp. Check-in at the lodge/camp for lunch. DAY 8: LEAVE MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE / TRANSFER AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast leave Masai Mara with en route Lunch at Maanzoni Lodge located on the metropolitan of Nairobi on the way to Amboseli. After Lunch, proceed to Amboseli the home of large herds of elephants among other wildlife. There is an advantage to this because one has to drive inside a park to be rewarded with the sight of many different species of animals. Amboseli National Park is reached in the afternoon. Embark on an afternoon game viewing in the park at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft.). Ideal photography opportunities with Mount Kilimanjaro highest mountain in Africa providing a beautiful backdrop.
DAY 9: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Wake up for an early Magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro as it appears from its mantle of clouds while taking breakfast. After breakfast, leave with packed lunch for a full day game drive in Amboseli, the game Proceeds to the area of Lake Amboseli, which is a wide salt pan, consisting of permanent swamps. This area has much game, large and small, high concentration of Elephant, rhino, buffalo, Burchell’s zebra, eland, Masai giraffe and small species of the antelope family, the common waterbuck, klipspringer, Grant’s gazelle, impala, topi, and the diminutive duiker among others.
DAY 10: LEAVE AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK / TRANSFER TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, depart to Tsavo West National Park. You will arrive with Game en-route proceeding to the camp/lodge in good time for lunch. Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The Savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrub lands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation, and rocky ridges including the Poacher's Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalo, diverse plant and bird species. It also includes a visit to the Mzima Springs. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge/camp.
DAY 11: TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
Today is a full day game drive with packed lunch. Explore Tsavo West National Park Two game drives are scheduled for this day. The extensive diverse habitats offer an ideal area to search for pride of Lions, Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Giraffe, Zebras, Hippos, and Wildebeests. Mzima Spring, underground water seepage from Chyulu hills is a good place to watch the Hippos. There is also a wealth and diversity of birds’ species.
DAY 12: LEAVE TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK / TRANSFER AND DROP OFF NAIROBI
After your morning buffet breakfast, check-out with game drive en-route to Nairobi. Enjoy a stunning view of Savannah plains with lunch on the way to arrive Nairobi Late evening in time for drop off at your Nairobi hotel or Airport.
