Day 1: Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve
Pick up hotel/airport and leave for Masai Mara National Reserve to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. After lunch, head for an afternoon game drive from your Nairobi hotel or Airport and depart to Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge/camp for lunch. After lunch, relax for 30 minutes and start your afternoon game drive until late evening. The Mara is one of the few places on earth where wildlife still live comparatively undisturbed where you will find mass numbers that roam the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest and zebra, with predators right on their heels trying to capitalize on a meal.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
Wake up for a full buffet breakfast as you feel the cool breeze from the wild. After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in the reserve, with a packed lunch to enjoy during the drive. The reserve is well known for its black-manned lion and is one of the few places where you have the chance to view the “Big 5”. Cheetah is so tame, they seek shelter from the hot sun under the safari vehicles, and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. Dinner and Overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Leave Masai Mara National Reserve / Transfer Lake Nakuru National Park
You will rise early for a sunrise game drive on the Masai Mara plains and then return to the lodge for a full breakfast. After breakfast, you will check-out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive at the camp/lodge where you will check-in and have lunch. After lunch, you will embark on a game drive around the shores of Lake Nakuru. This game drive will provide the best bird-watching and viewing of black and white rhino. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge/camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park / Transfer Amboseli National Park
Wake up early for a hot buffet breakfast then check-out of your lodge/camp with game drive en-route to Amboseli National Park. Pass by Nairobi for lunch at a famous carnivore restaurant before proceeding to Amboseli. After Lunch, proceed to Amboseli National Park to arrive late afternoon in time for an afternoon game en-route to your Lodge.
Day 5: Amboseli National Park
You will rise early and take off for a morning game drive with some amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro before the clouds build up over the summit. A packed lunch will be provided during the drive. An optional visit to a Masai village can be planned after breakfast. This tour reveals the singing and dancing of the Masai that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. You will also get a glimpse into their homes and social structure. Despite its changing habitat, Amboseli National Park is one of the best wildlife areas in the whole of Africa to experience elephants at close range. Later in the evening, you will return to the lodge/camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park - Nairobi
After breakfast, you will check out and say farewell to the best of what East Africa has offered. After a short morning game drive, you will drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you will be dropped off at the airport or at your Nairobi hotel or airport.
