The Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya has over 10000 large mammals and it is the only park where the big 5 and chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest-growing population of rhino in Africa can be found. There are southern white rhino, about 80 endangered black rhino and in a special sanctuary, there are two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino. At 7 am you will be picked up from your Nairobi Hotel. Here you will have a stopover at the equator crossing. This is an imaginary line that divides the earth into 2 hemispheres: north and south. There is a big sign where you will be able to take a photo saying you are now crossing the equator then proceed with the journey and arrive in time for lunch.
In the afternoon you will depart for a game viewing drive in the conservancy. Return back to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with a good time for resting
Spend the full day exploring Sweetwaters is a privately owned conservancy, overlooking the peaks of Mount Kenya. The conservancy has a great number of wildlife including all the big five animals (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo) among other games. The conservancy also has a special sanctuary that shelters several rare and endangered species including the black rhino, Grevy's zebra, Jackson's hartebeest, and Chimpanzees. The Chimpanzee sanctuary is the only one in Kenya. It is a home for orphaned and abused chimpanzees, rehabilitating them to help them learn to live by themselves as in their own habitat.
Later have dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Early breakfast at the camp and you will check-out of the lodge with a game drive en-route to Nairobi. Lunch on the way to arrive Nairobi late afternoon. Drop off at your Nairobi hotel or Airport.
