Day 1: Pick up Nairobi / Transfer Amboseli National Park
Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or Airport at 0730hrs ready to commence your safari with a short brief. Depart to Amboseli National Park with a magnificent view of Konza Savannah plains to arrive famous Amboseli in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch, a short siesta rest then depart for an afternoon game drive. Enjoy game viewing with a backdrop of Kilimanjaro view in the evening.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
Today is a full day game drive with picnic lunch. Enjoy extensive game drive within the park exploring different animal species. The swampy area located alongside observation hill makes it a unique place as you observe elephants and buffaloes wallowing in the muddy area. In the evening when it’s a great time to catch a view of Mount Kilimanjaro when the weather is clear.
Day 3: Leave Amboseli National Park / Mount Kenya National Park
Have your hot buffet breakfast, the check-out for your journey to Mount Kenya. Stop-over for a short rest for lunch at Maanzoni Lodge and continue to Mount Kenya to arrive late afternoon at your lodge in time for check-in for dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge, a tree hotel at the heart of Mount Kenya national park.
Day 4: Leave Mount Kenya National Park / Transfer Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, Transfer north to Samburu National Reserve. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/camp and an afternoon game drive. Explore the diverse and unique species found in this park. Samburu is known for its unique animals like gravy zebras, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and generuk which makes it an attraction for many people visiting the park.
Day 5: Samburu National Reserve
Today is a full day game drive with picnic lunch. The name Samburu is of Maasai origin, a ‘samburr’ is a traditional leather bag the Masai use for carrying honey and milk. This region is characterized by vast, open landscapes, dried riverbeds (depending on the season of the year) and its red volcanic soil. Rock outcroppings contrast against the dense woodland vegetation along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, the river that gives life to the reserve. The area is home to the Samburu tribe, who are ‘cousins’ to the Maasai people with their own distinct cultural traditions. Arrive at the camp/lodge in time for lunch, followed by some leisure hours for a siesta or swim before you depart for an afternoon game viewing drive, and return back to the camp or lodge before sunset.
Day 6: Leave Samburu National Reserve / Transfer Sweetwater's
After breakfast, depart to Sweetwater’s. Sweetwater’s with its huge ranch was once a private property of the famed Saudi Arabian multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. We will then visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps. This is the only place in Kenya where this endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be found. The same sanctuary also offers refuge to over 40 species of black rhinos.
Day 7: Leave Sweetwater's / Transfer Thompson's Falls (Nyahururu)
After breakfast, descend slowly with scenic sightings of Aberdare National Park to Nyahururu areas to arrive in time for check-in for Lunch at Panari Resort. After enjoying your hot buffet lunch, you will have the opportunity to explore the enchanting waterfalls that attract colorful birds and provide good photographic opportunities. A nature trail at the base of the falls and through the gorge is a safe haven for the endangered Columbus monkeys, baboons, and small animals. A popular base for high altitude training, used by international athletes. Thompson s falls is an attraction site accessible maternity for elephants that migrate through Rumuruti elephant’s corridors from the slopes of Mount Kenya.
Day 8: Leave Thompson's Falls / Transfer Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, we descend down the Rift Valley floor as we drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will have a stop-over lunch at Narok Town before entering the park. Have an afternoon game viewing en-route to your camp/lodge. The Mara is an extension of the Serengeti in Tanzania. All the “Big Five” are found here. With some luck, you may see some of them today.
Day 9 & 10: Masai Mara National Reserve
Waking up with a lifetime sunrise game drive with a great chance of spotting predators on a hunt. Returning back for late breakfast and heading to the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve exploring the vast grassland plains are scattered with herds of Zebra, Giraffe, Gazelle, and Topi while in search of the Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy your picnic lunch on the barks of the Mara River. Late evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Leave Masai Mara National Reserve / Transfer and drop off Nairobi
After breakfast, have a game viewing en-route to Nairobi. You will arrive Nairobi in time for drop off at your hotel or Airport.
